We were asked to help launch eBay's Fashion Outlet in the UK. Working with the talented fashion photographer Damon Heath from Lula mag along with eBay creative director Andrea Linett we shot two well known fashion bloggers - Sandra Hagelstam & Jennifer Inglis.

DKNY JEANS, Westfields

Back in the Summer, Club 21 asked us to design and produce a DKNY JEANS stand to go on tour around shopping centres to promote the new range, they loved the stand so much they asked us to make a mini version for the shop window. We managed to pop along to Westfields one saturday to check out the guys in action promoting the collection and giving away freebies. Here's a couple photos for you're viewing pleasure.

The Great Egg & Spoon Race

As part of P&G global Olympics sponsorship, we were asked to create a PR tool for Fairy. The brief was to engage bloggers and writers in the family arena, and generate content and buzz online around the FMCG brand. We had a lot of fun developing this neat PR Pack. The Egg and Spoon race has always been a great family fun game. So what better way to engage the whole family with a pack of customisable eggs! Included in the kit are five fantastic design ideas, from Boxer Bill to Runner Rita.

As a studio we like to keep as fit as we can so a few weeks back a couple of us joined the local boxing gym, it’s a tough workout but a great way to release a bit of stress on each other.

Each week Design Week ask a different industry creative to write a short piece on their inspiration for their work. This week they asked The Grid's Creative Director Jonno to share his inspirations. After much hair pulling and chin stroking Jonno realised the one thing that had been an inspiration through out his teens to present day was the music and artwork associated with the Dj and producer legend Andy Weatheral.

We are big believers in understanding a product inside & out before beginning the design. After a few week's worth of free tastings, we think we have a handle on a new chain of Caribbean take aways called Reggae Ready. But might give it another week before we begin work on the store interiors.

Your first steps to creative heaven...


Finding a fulfilling relationship with a design agency takes time, that's why we created this fictional dating agency brand 'Love Maker'.

The pack consists of 8 cards each with a campaign illustration on the front and some tongue in cheek 'profiling' questions on the reverse, held in a cleavage shaped slip case with a letter and wrapped in a poster. Printed with 5 flouro inks.

Quality control is always top of our agenda when Love Making, that's why we took two minutes out of our busy day to go oversee the printing of our little Love Maker pack.

The process was tricky to get the colours spot on but these boys down at GT printers did a quality job for us

From the viewpoint of a 5 year old


We recently took some time out from hunting mice to put together a little book to celebrate our 5th birthday. We asked a selected group of 5 year olds a sample of questions that related to topics that are close to The Grid’s heart including things like Graphic Design, Advertising and Recycling. We then asked them to draw a picture for each topic and we silkscreened it all into a lovely little book.
